Parking in PragueParking in the center of Prague can be free. Even local people do not always know that parking is free in residential areas, blue zones, every night and paid parking areas, orange and green zones, on Sunday and Saturday.There are 3 types of parking zones in the center of Prague: Blue zone in Prague - is intended for all-day parking of vehicles of local residents with a place of permanent residence in the area of paid parking and owners of real estate and stock business entities established or subscribers . Vehicles designated as marked parking card of permanent residents, which entitles them to park in the area marked on the card. ![]() ![]() ![]() Orange zone in Prague - is intended for short-term parking of vehicles of visitors to Prague 3, with a time of limited parking at more than 2 hours. Payment for parking the vehicle is made in coins into parking meters that issue, depending on the amount of the sums paid parking ticket. Tickets are placed in a prominent place in the front glass vehicle so that it is readable from the outside. Opening hours and price for parking is included in the Information Bar parking hours. Price per hour is 40 CZK. Minimal term – 10 min for 10 CZK. ![]() Green Zone in Prague - is designed for medium-term parking of vehicles of visitors to Prague 1,2 and 3, with a time of limited parking at more than 6 hours. Payment for parking the vehicle is made in coins into parking meters that issue depending on the amount of the sums parking ticket. Opening hours and price per hour of parking is included in the Information Bar parking hours. Price per hour is 30 CZK. Minimal term – 15 min for 10 CZK. ![]() Parking in Prague 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 These districts have yet to introduce the paid parking zones system. Instead it is possible to park wherever there is a designated parking area. Look for a blue sign with a large white 'P'. Attached to the sign will be the hours when parking is possible, if there are any restrictions. There are also private secure parking sites which so incur a cost. These are private concerns and have their own prices and times. ![]() Park and Ride A good option for people who commute from out of Prague is “Park and Ride” (P&R). P&R places are located at the metro stops Skalka, Zlíčin, Nové Butovice, Palmovka, Rajská zahrada, Černý most, Nádraží Holešovice and Opatov. There are three basic possibilities with P&R:
